After much thought and discussion with the industry, our sponsors, and partners, we have taken the strategic decision to postpone the 2021 Travel Technology Europe to 22-23 June 2021.
The travel industry has been one of the worst affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and as we start the road back to recovery we feel it is the right decision to support our industry and give the market much needed time to bounce back.
The 2021 edition of Travel Technology Europe will take place in ExCeL, affording exhibitors, sponsors and buyers the additional security and confidence that the show will take place in a COVID safe environment, able to respond and adapt quickly to the new guidance and guidelines as they are announced over the coming year.
As well as delivering engaging features and content that focuses on the hot button topics of the moment, a new dimension will be added to Travel Technology Europe – a virtual experience that will be fully integrated into the entire event experience. This development will allow buyers that are unable to travel from across the globe to still access the valuable show content, speakers, suppliers, and meetings programme.
David Chapple, Managing Director, Northstar Travel Group UK said, “We have not made the decision the move the show back lightly; but we felt it was the best choice for our supporters, sponsors and buyers. The new June date line will give the market time to recover, and we’re very confident that it will. We want to make sure that we are delivering innovation from the content buyers take part in to the suppliers they meet.
David Chapple, added, “Adding the hybrid element to Travel Technology Europe is something we’re very excited about as it will allow buyers who are unable to attend the live event to conduct meetings with suppliers and take part in the education sessions. Ensuring that we keep true to our mission of being a truly international event.”
